Professor of animation and Exec Prod at Skynamic
Art Director | Producer | 2D Animation | Professor
Zachary Rich is currently a Professor of Animation at the Savannah College of Art & Design, as well as a Co-Founder and Executive Producer at Skynamic Studios, a virtual animation studio he founded in 2013 alongside his business partner, Allison Sribnick. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art & Design with a BFA in Animation on May 29th, 2014, and graduated from the same college with an MFA in Animation on June 3rd, 2017.
At SCAD, Zachary teaches both undergraduate and graduate students, and his material delves into nearly every aspect of the animation pipeline (depending on the class being taught). Aside from teaching classes at SCAD, he is also currently working on his studio's first IP - an animated series called "True Tail".
He is also known online as "FlamingoRich", a pseudonym he used while directing a 30-minute short film using characters from the shows "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic", and "The Powerpuff Girls" called "Double Rainboom" (2013). Designed from the ground up as a learning experience, he used this project for college in order to gain experience in running an animated production, which laid the groundwork for Skynamic Studios.
